Drive tracker and lesson planner for teaching teen drivers the rules of the road- now for parents of teens with cognitive and physical disabilities!

AutoCoach tracks one or more teen drivers (learner’s permit holders) as they drive to meet the minimum hour requirements for day, night and inclement weather driving. It features interactive lessons and skill logging, and is designed to be used collaboratively by parents and teens.

AutoCoach is the first teen driver training app created by certified driver rehabilitation specialists, assuring parents of expert instruction. This innovative app is designed for parents and easily guides them through a semi-structured curriculum. AutoCoach 2.0 now makes this app available for parents of teens with physical and cognitive disabilities.

New Features include:

* 12 new specialized lessons for parents of teen drivers with physical and cognitive difficulties

* A new search feature to quickly access content

* A new font feature to change the size of the font within the app

* Improved logging with the new drive tracking engine

Every drive is automatically tracked for mileage, hours, average speed and weather. Parents work through a set of lessons designed to promote responsible driving. At the end of the curriculum the app exports a driving log as a PDF.

AutoCoach aims to improve parental supervisory behaviors and involvement while increasing teen driver skill acquisition. The app also aims to increase knowledge and compliance on graduated drivers licensing (GDLs) laws in all states, as AutoCoach is available nationwide free of charge.

AutoCoach puts a strong emphasis on modeling appropriate driving behaviors, thereby reducing risk-taking by both parents and teens. Additionally, AutoCoach aims to increase access and decrease the inequities in driver’s education by ensuring all parents and guardians have the skills needed to properly teach their teen how to drive.
